Smith Rock always makes a great backdrop, but it’s especially good during that brief golden light time of day right before dusk. And it’s really, really good in the winter time at that time of day–something about the color and the angle of the light.
I rode the Scrambler up there a week or so ago for some photos and they turned out really nice. I can hardly believe all the riding I’m doing in January–including a commute into work last Friday (the 28th of January).
I put another 100+ miles on the Scrambler Friday and about 50 on the KLR Saturday. Really good riding. Could’ve been out there again yesterday, but chose to work on the shop instead. It really feels like I’m finally getting somewhere in there and I think I’ll be able to work in there soon. Both bikes will be happy.
